Mexico City, Day 4 – Museo de Antropología

Another day in the city brings about new adventures. Wednesday it was the National Museum of Anthropology, containing one of the most extensive and complete collections of pre-columbian history in Mexico. I must say this was one of my favorite parts of the trip. The second level of the museum was filled with tons of cultural artifacts of the different tribes throughout Mexico, including beautiful textiles, pottery, and ceremonial costumes which was probably my favorite part of the museum. The lower level contained Aztec,, Mayan, and other significant ruins paving the way for present-day Mexico.

We went through hell and back today trying to change to flight to saturday and but I had all of today to see the  Museum of Modern Art, and tomorrow I go to the Casa Azul and see the rest of Coyoacan. I catch an early flight saturday morning and I’m back in LA! One more day to take it all in… Hopefully I can squeeze in a few more updates!
